Powervault won the keenly contested Crowdfunding campaign award; Vantage Power was short-listed for two awards, and was runner-up with a special mention in one.
This was welcome recognition for the distinctive character of the Green Angel Syndicate portfolio, with its unique specialisation in resource use. Director, Nick Lyth, said afterwards: "The real value in businesses contributing to the green economy provides angel investors with opportunities in all resource use sectors. It is gratifying when this is given the spotlight it deserves."
It also marks a strong link between UKBAA and Green Angel Syndicate. Syndicate Director, Simon Acland, has both sat on the Board of UKBAA, and acted as Judge in this year’s awards. Acland commented: “We are delighted to be associated with these awards. They are the flagship for the angel investment sector.”
