![]() Simon Acland is joining the Board of Green Angel Syndicate as Executive Director responsible for deal management. A seasoned investor, Acland has been investing in technology businesses for thirty years and he has a strong investment track record. Based in London, he was managing director of Quester, one of the UK’s most active early stage technology venture capital firms with more than £250 million under management, which was sold in 2007. He was a member of British Venture Capital Association’s Technology Committee, and also a Director of the British Business Angels’ Association, and currently sits on the Angel Co-Fund investment committee. He has also written the authoritative guide to venture capital investment, Angels, Dragons and Vultures. Acland was a founder member of the Green Angel Syndicate Advisory Board and is an investor in several Green Angel Syndicate deals: Controlled Power Technologies, Vantage Power and Powervault, which he chairs. He also chairs two other companies in which he is lead investor. He is a Non-Executive Director of Triple Point Income VCT which has invested largely in renewable energy projects; and of the Satellite Applications Catapult.
